The Winnipeg School Division, established in 1871, is the largest of six public school divisions in Winnipeg, serving 77 schools and over 33,000 students and their families in our North, South, Central and Inner City districts. Guidelines for distribution of materials, information to schools, students

 

Digital information

From time-to-time organizations request digital information be made available to schools. If the information meets the guidelines and is approved, the information will be posted to the Winnipeg School Division’s intranet, where it can be viewed by staff only.

 

The Division will consider requests for posting to its intranet information that conform to Board policy. The following is a brief synopsis of what may be accepted. (For more information, please see Policy KBF Distribution of Information by Students; and Policy KJ Advertising in the schools.)

 

May be accepted:

  • Information for students of an educational or recreational nature from various levels of government, and non-commercial organizations.
  • Information about fundraising opportunities for schools or parent councils to benefit schools.

 

Not accepted:

  • Information with commercial (other than fundraising opportunities for schools or parent councils to benefit schools), political or religious messages

 

Requests for posting digital messages can be sent to the following email address: communications@wsd1.org.

NOTE: Items with multiple attachments will NOT be posted, please format your information into ONE file. The preferred type of digital file is pdf.

                            

Printed information

Organizations wishing to request printed materials to be distributed to schools and/or students should be aware of the following guidelines below: Also please see KBF Distribution of Information by Students; and KJ Advertising in the Schools.

 

  • Information for students must be educational in nature
  • There shall be no cost to the Winnipeg School Division for distribution
  • For distribution of printed material please call 204-775-0231 ext. 325.

             

May be accepted:

  • Information for students of an educational nature

 

Not accepted:

  • Information with commercial, political or religious messages
