EF GLOBAL CITIZENS AWARD

  - Must be post secondary-bound high school student

  - Permanent resident of Canada or the U.S.

  - Must be nominated by their school and each school may nominate only one

    student to apply

  - Responses must:

               * be limited to four, double-spaced, one-sided, typed pages, not to

                 exceed 1,500 words

               * include the student's name, address and school name on the top of each

                 page of the essay

               * be mailed to EF by the nominating school and stapled to a completed

                 application form

  - Students are encouraged to submit their essays to the Career Exploration Intern

    by February 1, to allow the school to nominate one applicant and mail the

CANADA DAY CELEBRATION POSTER CHALLENGE

Basic Eligibility Requirements:

  - Must be 18 years of age or younger

Special Documents/Submissions/Requirements:

  - Design and submit an original poster that reflects an aspect of Canada's diverse

    heritage. See web site for this year's theme.   Poster dimensions should be between

    28cm x 43cm (11" x 17") and 38cm x 50cm (15" x 20") 

  - Braille art may be submitted.

  - Computer-generated are can also be submitted with specifications listed A hard

    copy of the design must be provided, printed on regular letter-size paper

    measuring 21.5cm x 28cm (8.5" x 11)

NOTES:

  - Only one entry per participant is allowed

  - On the back of their designs, participants should write the following in pencil:

    name, age, address, telephone number, school, school address, name of teacher,

    preferred language of correspondence, how they found out about the Poster

    Challenge, and two or three sentences explaining how their design expresses

    and you can find the Regional Fair closest to you.  Each Regional Fair has
