Basic Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants to this scholarship program must be either hard of hearing, deafened
or oral deaf. Support documentation is required.
- Eligible applicants may be first-time or returning post-secondary students,
registered in a full time program at a recognized College or University
- Eligibility for this scholarship is based on an overall assessment of the applicant.
- Applications will be judged by a number of criteria including academic
achievement, determination to cope with hearing loss and community
involvement
Special Documents/Submissions/Requirements:
- Recipients must agree that names and/or photographs may be used for
promotion of the scholarship program and to encourage future applicants.
Mediums may include the annual CHHA Conference and Annual General
Meeting, Listen/Écoute magazine, local newspapers (in the recipients
community) and a press release to national media

Basic Eligibility Requirements:
- Grade 12 females student enrolled in a City of Winnipeg high school for the past
year
- Consent to her nomination by signing the nomination form along with her
nominator
- High academic achievements

- Statement of nomination - Please use point form and provide specific examples.
Do not exceed one 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper (minimum 12 point font) per

- Three (3) letters of support, all of which add specific information not otherwise

JOB YELLOWHEAD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Basic Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be Aboriginal Canadians and residents of Manitoba
- Must demonstrate the following traits of interest, character, and philosophy: the
qualities of love, compassion, honesty, integrity, initiative, leadership, and the
ability to be a problem solver
- They should have a strong social conscience; have a strong native cultural
identity; demonstrate a desire to work for the improvement of the standard of
living in the native community, and for the improvement of the relationship
between the general society and the native community
- Candidates must have demonstrated an acceptable level of academic
performance at the high school level
- A sense of perseverance for success throughout school, and an involvement in
community activities would also be considered assets
- Applicants should currently be completing or have recently completed high
school

MANITOBA PUBLIC INSURANCE DRIVER ED CHALLENGE

- Currently a Driver Ed Student with a learner's license OR Past Driver Ed grads

during the current school year

are a Status Indian*, a Non-status Indian, Inuit or Métis
- You are a permanent resident or citizen of Canada

documenting the significance of participation in ringette in applicant's personal
development (i.e., an essay)
- Two (2) current letters of reference from people in the ringette community

- Proof of registration with an appropriate ringette association as an AA player for
the current ringette playing season
