Financial help
Burseries
Bursaries are cash awards to help students pay for their post-secondary education. They are generally awarded on the basis of financial need but can also be based on academics. Bursaries generally will not require high marks - passing marks of a "C" or better are usually sufficient (this ensures that students are at least trying, and worthy of receiving aid).
Bursaries are considered gift awards and therefore do not need to be repaid (unless otherwise stated).
Many post-secondary institutions have bursary programs that you can apply for once you are a student and are attending classes in September. Visit your university/college financial aid office in September of your first year for more information and applications.
Applicable bursaries are listed in the Scholarships section of this web page.
