Language Programs
The Winnipeg School Division recognizes the diversity of the division's population by providing a rich and varied offering of language programming. The Division provides the opportunity for language programs provided that:
-
The language program has a curriculum approved by Manitoba Education

Grade 7 level and 18 at the Grade 10 level.
When a program is accepted as a school offering, the language sequences in elementary, junior

Busing is provided for K-4 students in the language and alternative programs subject to the
distance requirement of 1.6 kilometres. Nursery students attending one of the Division’s three
French immersion milieu schools are also bused subject to distance requirements.
