The Science program in the Winnipeg School Division is based on Manitoba Curricula developed and approved by Manitoba Education and Training, our provincial ministry of education. All Manitoba Science Curricula are being developed in accordance with the Pan-Canadian Common Framework of Science Learning Outcomes.

Science Literacy

The goal of science education is to provide opportunities for all students to become scientifically literate. Scientific literacy may be defined as the knowledge, skills, and attitudes which allow an individual to make informed decisions and to solve problems in a replicable fashion.
