Technology PlanningMicrosoft Select
Microsoft Select is a software volume licensing program designed for government and academic customers with 250 or more desktops and mixed product and purchasing requirements. Select License customers receive a volume price level for each pool of products selected (applications, systems, or servers) based on a three-year software forecast. In June 2006, the Winnipeg School Division entered into a 3 year agreement with MERLIN as a large enrolment customer under the Microsoft Select Program for the period of June 1, 2006 to May 30, 2009. The costs for the schools and administrative departments in the Winnipeg School Division to purchase Microsoft licenses for products eligible under the Select Program is available at MERLIN's website: www.merlin.mb.ca.
